littleBits creates modular electronic kits that help users prototype and learn how to build electronics. It is an open-source library of more than 60 electronic modules that snap together with magnets. It allows users to view, download, and share designs and make their own Bits. The company serves two customers groups: individuals of all levels wanting to learn, and makers who use the pieces to prototype. Learners can include kids, kids at heart, teachers, and non-engineers. Makers include engineers and developers that are using littleBits to prototype.
