David joined Two Sigma Ventures in 2014 as a Venture Partner with a focus on mobile and data-driven startups, and works closely as an advisor and board member for Two Sigma Ventures portfolio companies.
David started his career in 1994 programming for the NeXT platform, the direct predecessor to today’s OS X and iPhone technologies. After several years at D. E. Shaw & Co, he co-founded Vindigo, an early and successful provider of location services for mobile devices. In 2001 he joined Two Sigma Investments, leading a series of software engineering and research efforts, with a focus on automated trading, market microstructure and optimal execution strategy. David graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Computer Science.
David’s personal projects focus on the application of data analysis to domains such as real-time strategy games and automated coaching. He is a certified judge with the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
